Hair System
Care Guidelines

Proper hair system care involves following recommended do's and avoiding don'ts to ensure its longevity and natural appearance.

To ensure the longevity and quality of your wigs, we offer the following usage and care guidelines:

HD Lace Fronted Wig and Matrix Silk Hair Systems:
Schedule first maintenance for your prosthesis between 3 and 6 months. Regular maintenance typically once to twice yearly, depending on wear and tear.

To Prevent Shedding:

Always wash your hair with distilled, cooled-down boiled water or filtered water.

Never soak the prosthesis in a basin or sink, as it can loosen knots and cause shedding. Use the dipping method to clean the prosthesis.

Ensure that you apply conditioners at least 2 inches away from your hair roots to avoid loosening hair knots.

Avoid twisting the base while the hair is soaking wet, as it can cause premature shedding.

Steer clear of mineral oil-based conditioners, shampoos, and styling products.

Refrain from scratching the base roughly, as it can loosen the implants and lead to shedding.

Excessive scrubbing during washing can also loosen knots and cause shedding. Part the hair into sections and stroke gently instead.

If necessary, use soft adhesives, adhesive gels, and sprays and the recommended removal process to prevent loosening the knots and shedding. Always use manufactures remover.

Limit the use of gels, mousses, and holding sprays, as excessive use can loosen knots and lead to shedding.

Remove your prosthesis before showering to avoid excess moisture.

When swimming, remove your prosthesis and wear a swim cap to prevent chlorine damage and base decay.

For Vacuum Wig, Silicone Hair System, Cranial Hair Prosthesis, or Black Label Owners:

Caring for a vacuum wig is akin to maintaining your own naturally growing hair, as it's intended for long-term use.

Avoid wetting the inside of the new system cap for at least 72 hours before following the cleaning instructions below.

To prevent the risk of loosening hair injections and knots, ensure that you apply conditioners at a minimum of 2 inches away from your hair roots.

Schedule first maintenance for your prosthesis between 3 and 6 months. Regular maintenance typically once to twice yearly, depending on wear and tear.

Please avoid products with essential oils or mineral oils, as they can degrade the polymer material, reducing the prostheses' quality and lifespan. Opt for products without these oils to ensure optimal performance. Our team is available to address any questions you may have.

When using products, be cautious of shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, masks, scalp oils, aromatherapy products, baby oil, body lotions, makeup removers, and hair care products like sprays, as they may contain essential or mineral oils. Additionally, if you use heat protectant sprays, check the ingredient list for essential or mineral oils, especially if you wish to avoid these substances. Not all products in these categories contain these oils, so read labels and consider oil-free alternatives when necessary. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we're here to assist in any way we can.
